Scottsdale Cultural Council plays a vital role in fostering the arts in Scottsdale through its three dynamic operating divisions. Scottsdale Public Art exposes local and national artists through interactive and performance art, installations and discussions surrounding the Sonoran Desert. Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts showcases dance, music, theater and film from around the world including regional Native American culture at free outdoor performances. Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art is devoted to contemporary art and the architecture & design of our time. 2012 features Paolo Soleri’s iconic architecture, Héctor Zamora’s desert-inspired installations and experimental counter-culture of the Southwest.
